Terms of Service

These terms of service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Woltti electric vehicle charging service — the Woltti web portal, the Woltti mobile applications and charging stations connected to the Woltti platform (together the “Service”) — provided by Wolttinen Oy, Lemuntie 7A, 00510 Helsinki, Finland (“Woltti”, “we”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms.

1. The Service

The Service lets you locate charging stations, start, monitor and stop electric vehicle charging sessions, and view and pay for your charging. Charging stations are operated by Woltti or by third-party site operators (such as municipalities, companies and housing associations) that use the Woltti platform. The price of charging, where applicable, is shown in the Service before you start a session.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
• You can register with an email address and password, or by signing in with a Google or Apple account. When you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to your use of your account with them.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials, PIN codes and RFID tags safe and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us without delay if you suspect unauthorised use.
• You must be at least 18 years old or otherwise have legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• Where your account or charging benefits are provided through your employer, municipality or another organisation, that organisation’s own conditions may additionally apply.

3. Charging and payment

• Applicable prices, tariffs and possible fees are shown in the Service before starting a charging session. Prices may vary by station, operator and time.
• Charging sessions are charged using the payment method registered in the Service or invoiced according to the arrangement between you (or your organisation) and the site operator. Payments are processed by our payment service provider.
• You must follow the instructions given at the charging station and in the Service, and use equipment (vehicle and cable) that is in appropriate condition and compatible with the station.
• Receipts for your charging sessions are available in the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in violation of law or these Terms;
• interfere with or attempt to circumvent the security or operation of the Service or the charging stations;
• access or attempt to access other users’ data or accounts; or
• use the Service by automated means in a way that burdens it or copies its content.

5. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but the Service and individual charging stations are provided “as is” and “as available”. Charging stations may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical faults, electricity supply or reasons attributable to the site operator. We may update, change or discontinue features of the Service.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, Woltti is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for damage caused by incorrect use of a charging station or defective vehicle equipment, or for interruptions of the Service or of individual charging stations. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Finnish law, including mandatory consumer protection legislation. If you use the Service as a consumer, you retain all rights granted to you by mandatory consumer protection law.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service or fail to pay due charges. Charges accrued before termination remain payable.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and content, is the property of Wolttinen Oy or its licensors. You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose.

9. Personal data

Our processing of personal data is described in the Woltti privacy policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version is always available at this address and the date at the top shows when it was last updated. We will inform you of significant changes through the Service; by continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes are resolved primarily by negotiation. If no agreement is reached, disputes are settled in the District Court of Helsinki. As a consumer you may also bring the matter before the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
